About School

Initially named as Khalsa Model School and started on the auspicious day of Baisakhi in 1956, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Sector 35-B, Chandigarh began its journey from a house in Sector-22 to become the present day landmark of Chandigarh.

The School provides a well established infrastructure for the student’s right from Grade Pre-Nursery to XII. It covers a whooping area of 6 acres in ‘The City Beautiful’, which houses a total of 58 class rooms including up to mark Laboratories, big play grounds, airy & spacious modern computer lab and a well equipped Library for the students. The school has ramp to cater to the needs of sports and cultural activities.

This co-educational school imparting instructions in Punjabi, Hindi and English comes under the Govt. Aided category under U.T Administration affiliated to CBSE New Delhi and is being governed by the:-

It has all the streams for senior secondary classes namely Humanities, Commerce, Medical and Non-Medical. The School imbibes a spirit of sportsmanship, secularism, universal brotherhood and humanism amongst the students by providing an organized setup of various curricular & extra curricular activities for developing overall personality of the students.

The school has been showing outstanding results both academically as well as on extra curricular front. Mr. Inderjit Singh Chadha, Mr. Rajwinder Singh and Mr. Rajpal Singh International Hockey Players form an integral part of the “Hall of Fame” of the School.

The esteemed Principal of the school, Mrs. Parminder Jit Mann has been leaving no stone unturned to embellish the school’s all round development by her persistent & untiring effort along with her hard-work and innovative ideas.
